Limit No. of Products
To apply min & max quantity limits to a number of products under collection, follow the following procedure.
Step #1
Go to Collections ➤ Limit No. of Product ➤ Add Limit
Step #2
You will be redirected to the Collections section of your Shopify store backend.
Click on the collection title to which you want to apply purchase limits. Suppose you choose Men's Ties and then go to More Actions in the upper-right corner.
Then, select Limit Collection Products.
Unlike the previous option, Limit Qty On Product, your customers would be able to buy ties randomly according to the applied limits rule, regardless of product variants.
Suppose you have 5 types of ties in the Men's Ties collection - yellow, black, blue, silver, and red. You've set the following limits for that collection.

Now, if any customer wants to buy any product from the Men's Ties collection, they can buy ANY min 2 or max 5 products from that collection.
Case #1
If a customer wants to buy only 1 blue tie, the purchase will be restricted because min limit = 3.
Case #2
If a customer wants to buy 1 black tie AND 3 red ties.
The customer can complete the purchase as the number of products purchased by him is within the limit range.
Case #3
If a customer wants to buy 2 yellow ties AND 5 black ties.
Then, it will be restricted as the total number of products becomes 7, which has exceeded the max purchase limit of 6.
