Limit Products

To apply min & max quantity limits to all products under collection, follow the following procedure.

Step #1

Go to Collections Limit Products Add Limit

Step #2

You will be redirected to the Collections section of your Shopify store backend.

Click on the collection title to which you want to apply purchase limits. For example, the Jeans Pants collection.

Click on the collection title. Then, click on the More Actions option located at the upper-right corner. Select Min Max Qty for Products.

Suppose you have set the following limits for products under the Jeans Pants collection.

Let's understand it with a few use cases.

Suppose you have 4 jean variants - Romano, Torino, Libero and Moreno

Case #1

If a customer wants to buy 1 Libero Jeans Pants and 5 Torino Jeans Pants.

The customer will be restricted from making this purchase as it has violated the above-mentioned purchase limits.

Case #2

A customer wants to buy 2 pieces of Libero Jeans Pants AND 5 pieces of Torino Jeans Pants.

Again, the customer will be restricted from making the purchase as the min-max purchase limit is violated.

To complete the purchase, the customer has to buy only a minimum of 2 or a maximum of 4 units of the same product (not variant).

In this case, the customer can buy a minimum of 2 or a maximum of 4 units of Libero Jeans Pants, not Torino Jeans Pants.

If he wants to buy Libero Jeans Pants, then he can buy them as per the rule applied, but he won't be able to purchase Torino Jeans Pants.

Case #3

A customer wants to buy 3 pieces of Libero Jeans Pants OR 4 pieces of Torino Jeans Pants. The customer can complete the purchase as it has not violated the min-max purchase limits rule.
