# Weight Limit
The **Weight Limit** feature in VOX Limit Orders Per Day allows you to define the minimum and maximum cart weight customers can order during a specified date range. It helps you manage orders according to your store's weight requirements and fulfillment capacity.
You can choose the weight unit, set minimum and maximum weight values, define the applicable dates, and activate or deactivate the limit as needed.
### How to Configure Weight Limit
Follow the steps below to configure the Weight Limit feature in your Shopify store.
#### Step 1: Open the VOX Limit Orders Per Day App
1. Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
2. Navigate to **Apps** from the left-hand menu.
3. Open **VOX Limit Orders Per Day**.
4. Click **Weight Limit** from the app's navigation menu.
#### Step 2: Add a Weight Limit
On the Weight Limit page, open the option to add a new weight limit. The **Add Weight Limit** screen will appear with the configuration fields.
Under **Weight limit details**, you can configure the date range, weight unit, minimum weight, maximum weight, and status.
#### Step 3: Set the Start Date
In the **Start Date** field, select the date from which the weight limit should apply.
Enter or select the date in the `YYYY-MM-DD` format.
For example, if you want the rule to start on October 15, 2026, select `2026-10-15`.
#### Step 4: Set the End Date
In the **End Date** field, select the final date for which the weight limit should apply.
For example, if the rule should remain applicable through October 20, 2026, select `2026-10-20`.
Ensure that the end date is not earlier than the start date.
#### Step 5: Select the Weight Unit
Use the **Weight unit** dropdown to choose the unit in which you want to define the cart weight.
The available option shown in the screenshot is:
* **Kilogram (kg)**
* Pound (lb)
* Ounce (oz)
Select the appropriate unit from the dropdown before entering the minimum and maximum weight values. Use the same selected unit when interpreting both values.
#### Step 6: Set the Minimum Weight
In the **Min weight** field, enter the minimum cart weight allowed under this rule.
For example, enter `1` to configure a minimum weight of 1 kilogram when **Kilogram (kg)** is selected.
This setting defines the lower weight boundary for the configured rule.
#### Step 7: Set the Maximum Weight
In the **Max weight** field, enter the maximum cart weight allowed under this rule.
For example, enter `20` to configure a maximum weight of 20 kilograms when **Kilogram (kg)** is selected.
The maximum weight should be greater than or equal to the minimum weight.
#### Step 8: Activate or Deactivate the Rule
Use the **Active** checkbox to control the status of the weight limit.
* **Checked:** The rule is marked as active.
* **Unchecked:** The rule is marked as inactive.
Keep the checkbox selected if you want the rule to be active, subject to the configured date range and the app's rule behavior.
#### Step 9: Review Your Configuration
Before saving, review all the entered details:
* Start Date
* End Date
* Weight unit
* Min weight
* Max weight
* Active status
Ensure that the date range and weight values match your requirements.
Complete the available save action on the configuration page to save your rule.
### Example Configuration
Suppose you want to allow carts weighing between 1 kg and 20 kg during a specific period.
Configure the rule as follows:

| Weight unit | Kilogram (kg) |
| Min weight | 1 |
| Max weight | 20 |
| Active | Checked |
With this configuration, the rule defines a cart weight range of 1 kg to 20 kg for the selected date range. The actual restriction applied to a customer's cart depends on the app's configured validation behavior.
### Important Notes
* Make sure the start and end dates are correct.
* Select the weight unit before entering the weight values.
* Enter valid minimum and maximum weight values.
* Keep **Active** checked if you want the rule enabled.
* Test the configuration on your storefront to confirm that the weight restriction behaves as expected.
