# Secret Link Lock
The **Secret Link Lock** feature lets you grant access to restricted content using a unique URL instead of a passcode. Customers who open the secret link can access the protected content directly, while anyone visiting the page without the link will only see your custom restriction message.
**Example:** Create a secret link for a VIP product launch and email it to selected customers. Only customers who open the shared link can view the product.
#### Configuration
**Secret Link Code**
A unique code is generated automatically and appended to your store URL to create the secret link.

Share this URL with customers via email, SMS, or any other channel to grant access.
**Restriction Message**
Enter the message displayed to visitors who try to access the restricted content without the secret link.
**Example:** *"This page is available through an exclusive invitation only."*
**Who Can Access Without Secret Link?**
You can allow specific customers to bypass the restriction without using the secret link by enabling one or more of the following options:
* **Logged-in Users** – Allow all logged-in customers.
* **Customer Tags** – Allow customers with selected Shopify tags.
* **Specific Customers** – Allow selected customer accounts.
* **Customer Order Count** – Allow customers based on their total number of orders.
* **Customer Money Spent** – Allow customers based on their lifetime spending (minimum, maximum, or exact amount).
* **IP Address** – Allow visitors accessing from specified IP addresses.
**Lock Products, Collections, Pages, Blogs & Articles**
Select the resources you want to protect with the secret link. Enable **Is Excluded** to exclude selected resources from the restriction.
**Example:** Lock an entire collection but exclude one product so it remains publicly accessible.
**Lock Countries**
Restrict access for customers from selected countries.
**Example:** Allow access only to customers in the United States while restricting visitors from other countries.
**Lock Website**
Enable **Whole Website Restricted** to protect your entire storefront with the secret link.
**Date-Based Restriction**
Schedule when the secret link restriction is active by setting a date range. You can also repeat the restriction on specific days.
**Example:** Restrict access from **1st–7th August**, or make it active **every weekend** for exclusive promotions.
