# Newsletter Required Access

The **Newsletter Required Access** feature allows you to require visitors to subscribe to your Shopify newsletter before they can access protected content on your store.

Instead of allowing every visitor to access restricted products, collections, pages, or other resources, the app prompts them to subscribe to your newsletter first. Once the subscription is completed successfully, they will be granted access to the protected content.

This feature is ideal for:

* Growing your email subscriber list
* Providing exclusive content to subscribers
* Member-only promotions and offers
* Marketing campaigns and lead generation

<mark style="color:blue;">Step #1 - Enter Lock Title</mark>

Enter a title for your lock. This title is used for identification purposes within the app and will not be displayed on your storefront.

<mark style="color:blue;">Step #2 - Select Newsletter Subscription Lock</mark>

Navigate to the **Restriction Mode Selection** section and select **Newsletter Subscription Lock**.

This enables newsletter-based access restriction for the selected resources.

<mark style="color:blue;">Step #3 - Review Newsletter Settings</mark>

The **Newsletter Settings** section explains how the Newsletter Subscription Lock works.

When enabled, visitors will be prompted to enter their email address and subscribe to your Shopify newsletter before they can access the protected content.

<mark style="color:blue;">Step #4 - Configure Bypass Rules (Optional)</mark>

Use the **Who can access without newsletter subscription?** section to specify which visitors can bypass the newsletter subscription requirement.

You can allow access based on:

* Logged-in Users
* Customer Tags
* Specific Customers
* Customer Order Count
* Customer Money Spent
* IP Address

Select the appropriate options according to your store's requirements.

<mark style="color:blue;">Step #5 - Select Resources to Lock</mark>

Choose the resources you want to protect using the Newsletter Subscription Lock.

You can apply the restriction to:

* Products
* Collections
* Pages
* Blogs
* Articles
* Countries
* Entire Website
* Date-Based Restrictions

Expand the desired section, select the resources you want to protect, and configure the restriction as needed.

<mark style="color:blue;">Step #6 - Save the Lock</mark>

After completing all the required configurations, click **Save** to apply the Newsletter Subscription Lock.

Customers attempting to access the selected resources will be prompted to subscribe to your Shopify newsletter. Once they successfully subscribe, they will be granted access to the protected content.

Your Newsletter Subscription Lock is now active.

Visitors will need to subscribe to your Shopify newsletter before they can access the protected resources. Customers who meet any configured bypass conditions will be able to access the content without subscribing.
