# Setting

The **Loyalty Program Settings** section allows you to configure how rewards are generated and redeemed in your store. You can choose the reward type, customize discount code settings, and define whether loyalty discounts can be combined with other Shopify discounts.

### Reward Type

Select how customers receive rewards for participating in your loyalty program.

#### Available Reward Types

| Reward Type                       | Description                                                                      |
| --------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Point Rewards**                 | Customers earn loyalty points that can be redeemed for rewards.                  |
| **Rewards (with Discount Codes)** | Customers receive automatically generated discount codes when redeeming rewards. |
| **Rewards (with Store Credit)**   | Customers receive Shopify Store Credit as their reward.                          |

### Loyalty Discount Settings

Configure how loyalty discount codes are created and used.

#### Discount Prefix

Specify a custom prefix for all automatically generated discount codes.

#### Generated Discount Expiration Type

Choose when generated discount codes expire. By default, the expiration type is **Never Expires**.

#### Discount Combination

Choose whether loyalty discount codes can be combined with other Shopify discounts.

* **Order Discount Combination** – Allows the loyalty discount to be combined with discounts applied to the entire order.
* **Product Discount Combination** – Allows the loyalty discount to be combined with discounts applied to specific products.
* **Shipping Discount Combination** – Allows the loyalty discount to be combined with discounts applied to shipping fees.

## Referral Program Settings

The **Referral Program Settings** section lets you configure referral reward limits and referral discount settings.

### General Settings

#### Apply Limit for Number of Referral Program Rewards

Enable this option to limit the number of referral rewards that a customer can earn.

#### Max Number of Referral Program Rewards

Specify the maximum number of rewards a single customer can receive for successful referrals.

**Example:** `20`

### Referral Discount Settings

Configure discount settings for referral rewards.

#### Discount Prefix

Enter a custom prefix for automatically generated referral discount codes.

#### Generated Discount Expiration Type

Choose the expiration period for referral discount codes. By default, referral discounts **Never Expire**.

#### Discount Combination

Select whether referral discount codes can be combined with other Shopify discounts.

* **Order Discount Combination** – Combine with order-level discounts.
* **Product Discount Combination** – Combine with product-specific discounts.
* **Shipping Discount Combination** – Combine with shipping discounts.

## Email Notification Settings

The **Email Notification Settings** section allows you to configure your SMTP server so the app can send loyalty, referral, and reward-related email notifications to customers.

### SMTP Configuration

| Field                        | Description                                               |
| ---------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------- |
| **SMTP Server**              | Enter your SMTP server address (e.g., `smtp.gmail.com`).  |
| **Secure**                   | Enable or disable a secure SMTP connection (SSL/TLS).     |
| **Port**                     | SMTP port number. Use **465** for SSL or **587** for TLS. |
| **Username / Email Address** | Email address used to authenticate with the SMTP server.  |
| **Password**                 | Password or app password for the SMTP account.            |
| **From Email Address**       | Email address displayed as the sender.                    |
| **Email Subject**            | Default subject line used for outgoing emails.            |
| **From Name**                | Display name shown as the sender of the email.            |

**Note:** If you are using Gmail SMTP, use **smtp.gmail.com** and an **App Password** if two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled. This ensures secure delivery of loyalty and referral email notifications.
