# Loyalty Programs
The **Loyalty Programs** section allows you to create reward campaigns that incentivize customers to interact with your store. Reward customers for purchases, account creation, profile completion, newsletter subscriptions, and social media engagement to encourage repeat purchases and strengthen customer loyalty.
To create a loyalty program:
1. Navigate to **Rewardo Loyalty Program → Loyalty Programs**.
2. Click **Add Program**.
3. Choose the loyalty program type.
4. Configure the program settings based on the selected program.
5. Save the program to activate it.

## Available Loyalty Program Types
Rewardo offers multiple loyalty program types to reward customers for different actions.
### Base Loyalty Programs
#### First Order Program
Reward customers after they place their first order in your store.
**Example:** Offer a $10 cashback reward when a customer completes their first purchase.
#### Place Order Program
Reward customers whenever they place an eligible order.
**Example:** Customers earn cashback on every qualifying purchase, encouraging repeat orders.
#### Sign Up Program
Reward customers for creating a customer account.
**Example:** Offer welcome rewards immediately after account registration.
### Profile Events
#### Birthday Gift Program
Automatically reward customers on their birthday.
**Example:** Give customers a birthday reward that they can redeem during their birthday month.
#### Set Birthdate Program
Reward customers for adding their birthdate to their profile.
**Example:** Encourage customers to complete their profile by offering reward credits.
#### Set Phone Number Program
Reward customers for adding or verifying their phone number.
**Example:** Offer cashback once a customer successfully adds their phone number.

## First Order Program
The **First Order Program** rewards customers with cashback when they place their **first successful order**. This encourages new customers to make their first purchase and increases the chances they'll return to shop again.
For example, if you offer **$10 cashback on the first order**, a new customer who places their first order will receive **$10 in loyalty credits**, which they can use on future purchases.
#### Program Title
Enter the name of your loyalty program. This title is displayed to customers throughout your store.
**Example:**
* First Order Reward
* Welcome Cashback
* New Customer Bonus
If you enter **"First Order Reward"**, customers will see this as the name of the reward program.
#### Program Description
This is the short description shown to customers. You can use placeholders to automatically insert values.
#### Available placeholders:
* {reward\_value} → Displays the cashback amount.
* {title} → Displays the program title.
**Example**
Program Title: First Order Reward
Program Description: Earn {{rewardValue}} on your {{title}}
If the cashback is **$10**, customers will see: Earn **$10** on your **First Order Reward**
#### Cashback Value
Specify how much cashback customers will receive after completing their first order.
**Example 1**
Cashback Value: 10
Customer places their first order worth **$80**.
**Result**
The customer receives **$10** in loyalty credits.
#### Cashback Type
Choose how the cashback should be calculated.
#### Fixed Amount
Every eligible customer receives the same cashback amount.
**Example**
Cashback: $15
| Order Total | Cashback |
| ----------- | -------- |
| $50 | $15 |
| $120 | $15 |
| $500 | $15 |
Everyone receives **$15**, regardless of the order value.
#### Minimum Order Amount Value
Set the minimum purchase amount required to earn cashback.
Use **0** if there is no minimum purchase requirement.
#### Example 1
Minimum Order: $100

Only orders of **$100 or more** qualify.
#### Expiration Type
Choose how long the cashback remains valid.
#### Never Expires
The cashback stays in the customer's account until it is redeemed.
**Example**
Customer earns **$20** today.
Even after several months, the **$20** is still available if it hasn't been used.
#### Delay Period
Choose how many days to wait before giving the cashback.
This is useful if you want to wait until the return period has ended.
#### Example 1
Delay Period: 0 Days
Customer places an order today.
**Result**
Cashback is awarded immediately.
#### Example 2
Delay Period: 7 Days
Customer places an order on **July 1**.
**Result**
Cashback is added on **July 8**.
#### Limit Per Customer
Limit how many times a customer can receive this reward.
Since this is a **First Order Program**, most stores set this to **1**.
#### Example
Limit: 1
Customer places:
* First Order ✅ Cashback awarded
* Second Order ❌ No cashback
* Third Order ❌ No cashback
The customer can only receive this reward once.
#### Excluded Collections
Choose collections that should **not** qualify for the reward.
#### Example
Excluded Collection: Gift Cards
Customer buys:
* Gift Card → ❌ No cashback
* Electronics → ✅ Cashback available
Products in excluded collections won't count toward the program.
#### Excluded Customer Tags
Prevent customers with specific Shopify tags from participating.
#### Example
Excluded Tag: Wholesale
Customers tagged as **Wholesale** will not receive first-order cashback, while regular customers will.
#### Included Customer Tags
Restrict the program so that only customers with specific tags can participate.
#### Example
Included Tag: VIP

Only customers tagged **VIP** can earn this reward.
#### Place Order Program
The **Place Order Program** rewards customers each time they place an eligible order, encouraging repeat purchases and customer loyalty.
**Example:** A customer places an order worth **$75** and earns **$5** in loyalty credits.

### Sign Up Program
The **Sign Up Program** rewards customers when they create a new account, encouraging visitors to register and become loyal customers.
**Example:** A new customer signs up and receives **$10** in loyalty credits to use on a future purchase.

**Note:** The configuration is the same as the **First Order Program**. The only difference is that the reward is triggered when a customer signs up instead of placing their first order.

### Birthday Gift Program
The **Birthday Gift Program** rewards customers with cashback on their birthday, helping increase customer engagement and build long-term loyalty.
**Example:** A customer receives **$10** in loyalty credits on their birthday, which they can use on a future purchase.
**Configuration**
* **Program Title:** Enter the name displayed to customers (e.g., *Birthday Gift Program*).
* **Program Description:** Add a description using {reward\_value} and {title} placeholders to automatically display the reward amount and program title.
* **Cashback Value:** Specify the cashback amount customers will receive.
* **Cashback Type:** Choose how the cashback is awarded (Fixed Amount).
* **Expiration Type:** Decide whether the reward expires or remains valid indefinitely.
* **Delay Period:** Set how many days after the customer's birthday the reward is issued. Use **0** to grant it immediately.
* **Excluded Customer Tags:** Prevent customers with selected tags from receiving the birthday reward.
* **Included Customer Tags:** Restrict the reward so only customers with selected tags are eligible.
### Set Birthdate Program
The **Set Birthdate Program** rewards customers for adding their birthdate to their account. This encourages customers to complete their profile, allowing the store to offer personalized rewards such as birthday gifts.
**Example:** A customer adds their birthdate to their account and immediately receives **$5** in loyalty credits.
**Configuration**
* **Program Title:** Enter the name displayed to customers (e.g., *Set Birthdate Program*).

### Set Phone Number Program
The **Set Phone Number Program** rewards customers for adding their phone number to their account. This helps stores collect verified contact information for order updates, marketing campaigns, and customer communication.
**Example:** A customer adds their phone number to their account and receives **$5** in loyalty credits.
**Configuration**
* **Program Title:** Enter the name displayed to customers (e.g., *Set Phone Number Program*).

### Like on YouTube Program
The **Like on YouTube Program** rewards customers for liking a specified **YouTube video**. This helps increase engagement, improve your video's visibility, and promote your content to a wider audience.
**Example:** A customer likes your YouTube video and receives **$5** in loyalty credits.
**Configuration**
* **Program Title:** Enter the name displayed to customers (e.g., *Like on YouTube Program*).

* **Cashback Type:** Choose how the cashback is awarded (Fixed Amount).
* **Link:** Enter the URL of the YouTube video that customers should like.
* **Expiration Type:** Decide whether the reward expires or remains valid indefinitely.
* **Delay Period:** Set how many days after the customer likes the video the reward is issued. Use **0** to grant it immediately.
* **Excluded Customer Tags:** Prevent customers with selected tags from receiving this reward.
* **Included Customer Tags:** Restrict the reward so only customers with selected tags are eligible.
#### Update Program Status
You can easily manage the status of each loyalty program from the **Status** dropdown.
* **Active** – The loyalty program is enabled, and customers can earn rewards based on its configuration.
* **Draft** – The loyalty program is saved but inactive, so customers cannot earn rewards until it is activated.
To change the status, click the **Status** dropdown next to the program and select either **Active** or **Draft**. The change is applied immediately.
