# Email Notifications

The **Email Notifications** section allows you to automate customer communication throughout their loyalty journey. These emails help you welcome new members, notify customers about cashback and rewards, remind them to redeem benefits, celebrate birthdays, and re-engage inactive customers.

Each email template can be customized with your own subject line, preview text, sender information, reply-to email, and template content. Email statistics such as **Sent**, **Opened**, and **Status** are also displayed for every template.

### Loyalty Email Notifications

The **Loyalty Email Notifications** section allows you to configure and manage automated emails sent to customers based on loyalty-related activities. You can enable or disable each email, customize its content, and track its performance.

The list displays the number of **Emails Sent**, **Emails Opened**, and the current **Status (Draft/Active)** for each notification. Click **Customize** to edit any email template, or open **Email History** to review previously sent emails.

### Welcome Email

The **Welcome Email** is automatically sent to every new customer to introduce your brand and loyalty program.

You can configure:

* Enable/Disable the email
* Customize the email design
* Send as a text email
* Email Subject
* Preview Text
* Sender Name
* Sender Email
* Reply-to Email

### Cashback Earned Email

The **Cashback Earned** email notifies customers whenever cashback is added to their rewards balance.

You can configure:

* Enable/Disable the email

* Exclude specific earning actions from triggering the email

### Reward Redeemed Email

The **Reward Redeemed** email confirms that a customer has successfully redeemed a reward and includes their discount code.

You can configure:

### Unused Balance Reminder

The **Unused Balance Reminder** encourages customers to redeem their available rewards before they expire.

You can configure:

* Enable/Disable the email
* Customize the email design
* Send as a text email

* **Balance Unused Period** (number of days before the reminder is sent)

### Unused Discount Code Reminder

Encourage customers to use their available discount code before it expires.

#### Settings

Configure the **Email Subject**, **Preview Text**, **Sender Name**, **Sender Email**, and **Reply-to Email** for reminder emails sent to customers with unused reward discount codes.

### Birthday Email

The **Birthday Email** sends customers a birthday greeting along with a reward or special offer.

You can configure:

* **Days Before Birthday** (send before or on the customer's birthday)

### Inactive User Reminder

The **Inactive User Reminder** reconnects with customers who have not visited or shopped for a specified period by sending them a reminder email.

You can configure:

* Enable/Disable the email
* Customize the email design
* Send as a text email
* Email Subject
* Preview Text
* Sender Name
* Sender Email
* Reply-to Email
* **Inactive Period** (number of inactive days before sending the reminder)

Supported Variables

**Example:** Set the inactive period to **60 days** to automatically send a "We Miss You" email with a special offer to customers who haven't interacted with your store during that time.

### Referral Email Notifications

The **Referral** tab allows you to configure automated email notifications for both the referred customer (referee) and the customer who referred them (referrer). These emails help keep users informed when referral rewards are earned.

## Referee Reward Confirmation

The **Referee Reward Confirmation** email is automatically sent to a customer who joins your store using a referral link and becomes eligible for a referral reward.

#### Purpose

This email notifies the referred customer that their referral reward is available and provides the reward details, such as a discount code.

#### Settings

| Field              | Description                                                                                           |
| ------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Enable**         | Enable or disable this email notification.                                                            |
| **Customize**      | Edit the email template and content.                                                                  |
| **Email Subject**  | Subject shown in the customer's inbox. Default: **You've got a referral reward!**                     |
| **Preview Text**   | Short preview shown below the email subject. Default: **Claim your reward now.**                      |
| **Sender Name**    | Name displayed as the email sender. Default: **{{shopName}}**                                         |
| **Sender Email**   | Email address used to send the notification.                                                          |
| **Reply-to Email** | Email address where customer replies will be received. If left blank, the shop owner's email is used. |

#### Available Variables

#### Default Email Content

The default email includes:

* Greeting to the customer.
* Notification that the referral reward is ready.
* Information about the earned reward.
* Generated discount code.
* A **Shop Now** button directing the customer to your store.

## Referrer Reward Confirmation

The **Referrer Reward Confirmation** email is automatically sent to the customer who successfully referred a friend after the referral reward conditions have been met.

#### Purpose

This email informs the referrer that they have earned a reward because their referred friend completed the required action.

#### Settings

| Field              | Description                                                                                           |
| ------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Enable**         | Enable or disable this email notification.                                                            |
| **Customize**      | Edit the email template and content.                                                                  |
| **Email Subject**  | Subject shown in the customer's inbox. Default: **Referrer reward received!**                         |
| **Preview Text**   | Short preview displayed below the subject. Default: **Thanks for referring your friend!**             |
| **Sender Name**    | Name displayed as the sender. Default: **{{shopName}}**                                               |
| **Sender Email**   | Email address used to send the notification.                                                          |
| **Reply-to Email** | Email address where customer replies will be received. If left blank, the shop owner's email is used. |

#### Available Variables

#### Default Email Content

The default email includes:

* Greeting to the referrer.
* Confirmation that the referral reward has been earned.
* Reward details.
* Information about the referred friend.
* A call-to-action encouraging the customer to continue shopping or referring more friends.

### Email Status

Each referral email template displays the following information:

| Status     | Description                                                                |
| ---------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Sent**   | Total number of emails sent using the template.                            |
| **Opened** | Total number of emails opened by recipients.                               |
| **Draft**  | Indicates that the email template has not yet been published or activated. |

### Discount Expiring Reminder

The **Discount Expiring Reminder** email is automatically sent to customers before their discount code expires. This reminder encourages customers to redeem their discount before the expiration date, helping improve redemption rates and customer engagement.

#### Purpose

This email reminds customers that their discount code is about to expire, giving them enough time to use it before it becomes invalid.

### Settings

| **Enable**             | Enable or disable the discount expiry reminder email.                                                            |
| **Customize**          | Edit the email template and content.                                                                             |

| **Preview Text**       | Short preview shown below the subject. Default: **Don't miss out on your savings.**                              |
| **Sender Name**        | Name displayed as the email sender. Default: **{{shopName}}**                                                    |
| **Sender Email**       | Email address used to send the notification.                                                                     |
| **Reply-to Email**     | Email address where customer replies will be received. If left blank, the shop owner's email is used.            |
| **Days Before Expiry** | Specifies how many days before the discount code expires the reminder email should be sent. Default: **3 Days**. |

### Available Variables

| {{customerfirstname}} | Displays the customer's first name. |

### Default Email Content

The default email includes:

* A personalized greeting to the customer.
* A reminder that their discount code is about to expire.
* The discount code expiration date.
* The customer's discount code.
* A **Use My Discount** call-to-action button that directs the customer to your store to redeem the offer.
* Your store logo and branding.

### Email Status

Each discount reminder template displays the following information:

| Status     | Description                                                                |
| ---------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Sent**   | Total number of reminder emails sent.                                      |
| **Opened** | Total number of reminder emails opened by customers.                       |
| **Draft**  | Indicates that the email template has not yet been activated or published. |

**Note:** Configure the **Days Before Expiry** setting to control when reminder emails are sent. For example, if the value is set to **3**, customers will receive the reminder **3 days before** their discount code expires.
